La fosse de Milwaukee est la partie la plus profonde de l'océan Atlantique, avec une profondeur maximum de 8605 mètres et fait partie de la fosse de Porto Rico. Son emplacement est 19°35'N, 066°30'W, à 135 kilomètres au nord de la côte de Porto Rico. Cet endroit du fond océanique tire son nom du USS Milwaukee (CL-5), un croiseur de l'United States Navy, qui a découvert la fosse de Milwaukee le 14 février 1939.

Milwaukee Deep is the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean, with a maximum depth of 28,231 feet (8605 meters) and is part of the Puerto Rico Trench. Its location at 19°35'N, 66°30'W, is just 84 miles (135 km) north of the coast of Puerto Rico. This ocean floor feature is named for the USS Milwaukee (CL-5), a U.S. Navy Omaha class cruiser, which discovered the Milwaukee Deep on February 14, 1939.
