Description

The Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands, also called Cocos Islands and Keeling Islands, is a territory of Australia. There are two atolls and twenty-seven coral islands in the group. The islands are located in the Indian Ocean, about half way from Australia to Sri Lanka.

Les îles Cocos (Cocos Islands), ou anciennement îles Keeling (Keeling Islands), sont un archipel corallien de l'océan Indien, formé autour de deux atolls principaux. Elles constituent depuis 1984 un territoire extérieur de l'Australie, formellement le « Territoire des îles Cocos » (Territory of Cocos Islands).

Pulau Bodjo, lying about 2 miles S of the SE extremity of Pulau Tanahbala, is densely woodedand about 150m high. It is fringed by a steep-to reef which nearly dries, extending about 0.3 mile offshore in places.
