Costa Daurada (Catalan) or Costa Dorada (Spanish, literally Gold Coast) is a coastal strip located 216 km S of Catalonia (Spain).
Its capital is Tarragona.
The coastline consists of beaches and rocky shores. It begins south of Barcelona and then passes through various seaside resorts or not, including Tarragona, Salou, Cambrils and Sitges. The Costa Daurada is best known for its extensive tourism and nature reserves (Park Ebro Delta Natural Reserve and National Ports de Tortosa-Besseit S).
The name comes from the Costa Dorada golden sands of its beaches, shines in the sun.

La Costa Daurada (en catalan) ou Costa Dorada (en espagnol; littéralement côte d'or) est une bande littorale de 216 kilomètres située au S de la Catalogne (Espagne). Sa capitale est Tarragone.
Ce littoral est constitué de nombreuses plages et côtes rocheuses. Elle commence au sud de Barcelone et traverse ensuite diverses localités balnéaires ou non, parmi lesquelles Tarragone, Salou, Cambrils et Sitges. La Costa Daurada est surtout célèbre pour son importante activité touristique et ses réserves naturelles (Parc Naturel du Delta de Ebre et Réserve Nationale des ports de Tortosa-Besseit au S).
Le nom de Costa Daurada provient de la couleur dorée du sable de ses plages qui brille sous le soleil.
