Kumta Point (Kumpta Point), marked by a light, shown from mid-September to mid-June, lies at the N entrance to a creek, with the town of Kumta about 1.5 miles E.

Snail Rock, 7m high, lies about 1.8 miles NW of the point, and 0.8 mile offshore; it resembles a snail when seen from N.

A rock, awash, lies 0.5 mile N of Snail Rock.
