Marina d'Empuriabrava

Empuriabrava is called "the largest marina in the world", an area with more channels on the water than Venice itself. Boat owners have their moorings in front of their houses.
This marina was built on a swamp in 1968. Today the site covers an area of ​​over 503 hectares, of which about 10% are channels or ports.
The port is located in a bay ideal for sailing, which is open throughout the year in many regattas and sailing cruise.

The marina is a holiday town with 23 km of canals and an airport.

The port of Empuriabrava is also a major offshore center, located in one of the most important areas in the world for giant tuna.

The width of the input channel is 55 m, the TE at the entrance is 3 m and drops to 2.5 m in the harbor.
