Marbella is in the heart of the western Costa del Sol, between the slopes of the Sierra Blanca and the coastline. This fishing village of yesteryear has become a colorful seaside resort. The bottoms are sometimes rocky. It's possible to anchor in the bay by 15 to 16 m of water near the shore, especially in winter.The port was built at the E of the lighthouse 35 m high.The port entrance is difficult in W and SW winds.

Marbella est au coeur de la Costa del Sol occidentale, entre les versants de la Sierra Blanca et le littoral. Ce village de pêcheurs d'antan est devenu une station balnéaire bigarrée. Les fonds sont parfois rocheux. On peut mouiller dans la baie par 15 à 16 m d'eau, près du rivage, surtout en hiver. Le port a été construit à l'E du phare haut de 35 m. L'entrée du port est difficile par vents d'W et SW.
