Dalmacija (Dalmatie)

La Dalmatie (en croate Dalmacija, en italien Dalmazzia)est une région littorale de la Croatie, le long de la mer Adriatique, qui va de l'île de Pag, au nord-ouest, à la baie de Kotor (Monténégro) au sud-est.
Elle s'étend sur 350 km sur la côte est de la mer Adriatique sur environ 60 km de large, couvre 12 100 km² pour 897 000 habitants (2001). Elle est traversée par les Alpes dinariques et comporte en outre de nombreuses îles dont les îles de Brac, de Hvar, Korcula, Kornati, Lastovo, Mljet, Murter, Pag, Pasman, Silba, Solta Ugljan et Vis.
Elle est composée de quatre comitats, Zadar, Sibenik, Split et Dubrovnik.

Dalmatia (Croatian Dalmacija, Italian Dalmazzia) is a coastal region of Croatia along the Adriatic, stretching from the island of Pag in the northwest, the Bay of Kotor (Montenegro) to the south East.
It extends 350 km along the east coast of the Adriatic Sea about 60 km wide, covers 12,100 sq. km 897 000 inhabitants (2001). It is crossed by the Dinaric Alps and also includes many islands, the islands of Brac, Hvar, Korcula, Kornati, Lastovo, Mljet, Murter, Pag, Pasman, Silba, Solta Ugljan and Vis.
It is composed of four counties, Zadar, Sibenik, Split and Dubrovnik.
