The islet di Quirra (scoglio di Murtas) is located in front of Quirra castle, between Murtas tower and S. Lorenzo cape. It is 12 m high and is surrounded by smaller rocks. It is 12 NM SSE of Murtas tower and 1 NM offshore.
From the NNE, this islet appears reddish with a whitish top.
A navigable passage leads between the islet and the coast, but it can only be used by vessels with local knowledge.

L'îlot de Quirra (Scoglio di Murtas) se trouve en face du château de Quirra, entre la tour Murtas et le cap S. Lorenzo. Il fait 12 m de haut et est entouré de petits rochers. Il est à 2 MN au SSE de la tour Murtas et à 1 MN au large.
Du NNE l'îlot apparaît rouge avec un sommet blanchâtre.
Il existe un passage entre cet îlot et la côte, mais il faut connaître le lieu pour l'utiliser.
