Uvala Stupica Vela is located at the
southern end of the Zirje Otok this large bay is handy both for those
heading north towards the Kornati and those heading south either out of
Sibenik or from the National Park. It makes a good stop over both for
lunch and swimming or over-night.
Facing south it offers good
shelter from the Bora and its northwestern arm offers reasonable all
round shelter though the who bay is exposed to the south-east. In the
western arm there are a number of mooring buoys laid by the proprietor
of the restaurant at the head of the bay.
When approaching the bay be aware of a spit of sand that shallows from 3-0 metres at the eastern side of the entrance.
Anchor in 4-10 metres.

Uvala Stupica Vela est située à l'extrémité sud de la Otok Zirje, cette grande baie est pratique tant pour ceux qui vont en direction du nord vers les Kornati et ceux qui se dirigent vers le S au large de Sibenik ou qui viennent du parc national. C'est une bonne étape pour le déjeuner et la natation ou durant la nuit.
Orienté plein sud elle offre un bon abri de la Bora et son bras nord-ouest offre des abris raisonnables tout autour si la baie qui est exposée au sud-est. Dans le bras ouest il y a un certain nombre de bouées d'amarrage prévues par le propriétaire du restaurant à la tête de la baie.
En entrant dans la baie, attention à une zone peu profonde (moins de 3 m) qui déborde la pointe E.
