Passage between the shore and the Brijuni islands. It extends between, the rock N Kabula (Barbariga) and S Protina (Pinida or Peneda).
Approach: This is a very rocky coast with many shoals and rocks at 400 m offshore. Beside islands the Sea is shallow. Warning to the rock Kabula (N cardinal flotting beacon) NW of Brioni, the shoal Mrtulin, marked by a buoy on the E side of the entrance channel and the shoal Fazana S (2 green buoys); Slavulja the shoal is marked by a red light tower S of the port of Brijuni, the shoal Rankun wears a red buoy red light at the point E Veli Brijuni; the shoal Kotez is reported by a cylindrical tower at E shoal Rankun.

Approche: C'est une côte très rocheuse avec de nombreux hauts-fonds et rochers à 400 m au large des côtes. A côté des îles la mer est peu profonde. Attention au rocher Kabula (balise cardinale N) au NW des Brioni; le haut-fond Mrtulin, marqué par une bouée, sur le côté E de l'entrée du canal; le haut-fond au S de Fazana (2 bouées vertes); le haut-fond Slavulja est balisé par une tour rouge lumineuse au S de l'entrée du port de Brijuni; le haut-fond Rankun porte une bouée rouge à lumière rouge à l'E du point Veli Brijuni; le haut-fond Kotez est signalé par une tour cylindrique à l'E du haut-fond de Rankun.
