Isola Piana (Stintino Sardegna)

Piana Island (23 m high) can ideally be considered as the link between Stintino Peninsula, bordered to the north by Capo Falcone and the island of Asinara. Its name comes from the flatness and surface low and steady. It is close to nearby beaches of Pelosa and Pelosetta, of Stintino.

The island is bordered to the NE, by the small island called La Pelosa, which houses a tower dating from the late sixteenth century, the destination of many swimmers who flock to the beach of the same name Stintino.

From Cala Murona, northwest of Piana island, you can admire a beautiful landscape with the islet at the horizon.

On its northeast coast, just across the Strait of Fornelli and oriented to Asinara is the SpanishFinanza tower, which is particularly appreciated by those who see it from the sea.

Navigation around the island, however, must be done with caution and attention: the rocky shoal that extends several hundred meters in front of the south-eastern part, in fact, can be dangerous.

The island is accessible by boat from the Pelosa and Pelosetta beaches of Stintino.

L'île Piana (23 m de haut) peut idéalement être considérée comme le lien entre la péninsule Stintino, bordée au nord par Capo Falcone, et l'île d'Asinara. Son nom provient de l'absence de relief et sa surface basse et régulière. Elle est près des plages voisines de Pelosa et Pelosetta.

L'île est bordée au NE, par la petite île appelée La Pelosa, qui porte une tour datant de la fin du XVIe, la destination de nombreux nageurs qui affluent à la plage du même nom Stintino.

De Cala Murona, au nord-ouest de l'île de Piana, vous pourrez admirer un beau paysage avec l'Isolotto à l'horizon.

Sur sa côte nord-est, juste en face du détroit de Fornelli et orientée vers l'Asinara, se trouve la tour espagnole della Finanza, qui est particulièrement appréciée par ceux qui la voient de la mer.

La navigation autour de l'île, cependant, doit être effectuée avec une attention particulière et prudence: le haut-fond rocheux qui s'étend sur plusieurs centaines de mètres en avant de la partie sud-est, en fait, peut être dangereux.

Da Cala Murona, a nord ovest dell'Isola Piana, si può ammirare un paesaggio incantevole con il profilarsi all'orizzonte dell'Isolotto.

Nella sua costa nord orientale, esattamente di fronte allo stretto di Fornelli e orientata verso l'Asinara, si trova la torre spagnola della Finanza, le cui coste sono particolarmente apprezzate da chi la vede dal mare.

La navigazione intorno all'isola, tuttavia, deve essere condotta con particolare attenzione e prudenza: la secca rocciosa che si estende per alcune centinaia di metri di fronte al tratto sud orientale può essere infatti pericolosa.

L'isola è raggiungibile via mare partendo dalle spiagge della Pelosa e della Pelosetta, a Stintino.
