Otocic Krapanj (Sibenik)

The small island of Krapanj is located on the E coast of Sibenska Kanal, 4 NM from the entrance of Sveti Ante channel.
The island is separated from the mainland by a channel about 0.2 NM wide.
S of the island and extending toward the NW from Krapanj, there are rocks and shallow areas.
Krapanj has a rich history in the harvesting and sale of sea sponges for many years, diving for sponges was the main income earner families Krapanj, earning them the title of "Spužvari" (sellers sponge).

The main village of the island, Krapanj, with its small port, is located on the SE coast.

Be carreful approaching by the NW, a band of shallow waters lies on 0.8NM and is signaled by a red beacon.

La petite île de Krapanj se trouve sur la côte E du Sibenski Kanal, à 4 NM de l'entrée du canal Sveti Ante.
L'île est séparée du continent par un chenal large d'environ 0,2 NM.
Au S de l'île et s'étendant vers le NW depuis Krapanj, il y a des rochers et des zones peu profondes.

Krapanj a une histoire riche dans la récolte et la vente d' éponges de mer. Pendant de nombreuses années, la plongée pour ces éponges a été le principal soutien économique aux familles Krapanj, leur valant le titre de "Spužvari" (vendeurs éponge).

Le village principal de l'île, Krapanj, avec son petit port, est situé sur la côte SE.
