Lignumvitae anchorage (Florida Keys)

Between the waterway and the northern entrance to the channel, the mooring field off the northwestern shores of lignumvitae Key will be passed to the East. As observed above, this is a great spot, with easterly winds in the offing, to spend a few hours or even an evening.

Protected in all but N & W winds.
Have 3-5 mooring buoys from
State
Park - check for security if used.
Depth: 5 to 8 feet.

You can tie up to a mooring buoy off the park (there are 5 off the
Northern side of Lignumvitae Key) and dinghy in.
If your craft doesn't draw more than 4 feet, you may tie right up to the park dock. There is a small admission charge to the park, butit's insignifiant, about a dollar per person, and children under 6 get in for free.
For deeper draft vessels would be anchor on the correctly charted 7 foot waters just E of the park pier and break out the dinghy.

Entre la voie navigable et l'entrée nord du canal, la zone d'amarrage au large des côtes NW du Lignumvitae Key passe à l'Est. Comme on l'a observé plus haut, c'est un superbe endroit, avec des vents d'E au large, pour y passer quelques heures ou même une soirée.

Bien protégé sauf des vents du N et de l'W.
Il y a 3 à 5 bouées de mouillage à State Park - Sécurité à vérifier si vous l'utilisez.
Profondeur: 1,5 à 2,4 m

Vous pouvez accrocher votre bateau à une bouée d'amarrage au large du parc (il y en a
5 sur le côté nord de Lignumvitae Key) et accoster en annexe.
Si votre bateau n'a pas plus de 1 m de TE, vous pouvez accoster au ponton de la station d'accueil du parc. Il y a un petit droit d'entrée au parc, insignifiant, à environ un dollar par personne, et les enfants de moins de 6 entrent gratuitement.
Les bateaux à plus grand TE peuvent ancrer, sur les eaux correctement cartographié, à l'E, à 2 m seulement de la jetée du parc et accoster en annexe.
