Description

Large island near the mainland (32 NM long and 5 NM wide), composed mainly of limestone and karst rocks, it offers lunar landscapes particularly in its NE.
It is located at the tip of the S N of the Adriatic.

It is separated from the mainland by several channels whose narrow Ljubacka Vrata SE tet Velebitska Kanal to the E and NE.
Pag is the largest city on the island.

The island is accessible by a bridge 300 meters long, built in 1968, Cape Ostrljak on the mainland (near Miletici), 20 km from the town of Pag, in the center of the island.

We may find shelter in many places along the coast.

Grande île proche du continent (32 M de long et 5 M de large), essentiellement composée de calcaire et de roches karstiques, elle offre des paysages lunaires notamment dans sa partie NE.
Elle se situe à la pointe S du N de l'Adriatique.

Elle est séparée du continent par plusieurs chenaux dont l'étroit Ljubacka Vrata au SE et le Velebitski Kanal à l'E et au NE.

Pag est la plus grande ville sur l'île.

L'île est accessible par un pont long de 300 m, construit en 1968, au Cap Ostrljak sur le continent (près de Miletici), à 20 km de la ville de Pag, au centre de l'île.
On peut trouver un abri dans de nombreux endroits de la côte.
